Postman is a cloud-based product that [syncs](/docs/getting-started/basics/syncing/) your work when you're signed in to your account.

If your organization has restrictions around cloud usage, consider these alternatives:

* Work locally with [Native Git](/docs/use/native-git/overview) (requires sign-in).

* Use the [Lightweight API Client](/docs/getting-started/basics/using-api-client) for offline work.

* Run collections with [Newman](/docs/reference/newman-cli/command-line-integration-with-newman) in a private cloud or internal data center.

If you’re using the Lightweight API Client, some collaboration tools such as Collections, Environments, Mocks, Monitors, and Documentation won’t be available.
