# Fixing "Something went wrong" error

## You are experiencing one of the following issues

* You see the 'Something went wrong' error when launching Postman or after performing a specific action.
* Postman has encountered an error.

## What to expect

It is usually an intermittent issue that occurs when application services are unable to connect or load content due to network problems or locally corrupt files.

## Unblock yourself

* Force close the application from the Taskbar and Relaunch the application.
* You can also try to “[Clear cache and Reload](/help/faqs/troubleshooting/how-to-remove-local-data)” from Help.
* Alternatively, you can use the [Postman web app](https://go.postman.co) to access your account.
  If that works, it indicates that there might be a client-side issue with the Postman desktop app. You can then follow the steps to [Remove Postman’s local data](/help/faqs/troubleshooting/how-to-remove-local-data) to see if that helps.
