# Administer Postman

Postman has a variety of tools you can use to set up, manage, and secure your Postman organization and teams. Whether you're setting up a new organization and teams or managing an existing one, you can customize your team experience to align with your organization's goals.

Depending on your plan, you must be an [Organization Manager, Team Manager, Admin, or Super Admin](/docs/administration/roles-and-permissions/#team-roles) to set up, manage, and secure your Postman organization and teams.

To set up a new Postman organization and teams, you can follow the steps in Postman's [onboarding checklist](/docs/administration/onboarding-checklist/).

If you're using the Free plan, note that it's designed as a single-player experience for individual developers. Teams with multiple members on the Free plan are in a read-only state with limited collaboration features. To learn more about how this affects your team and what options are available, see [Free and Solo experience](/docs/administration/free-and-solo/).

Single user teams don't come with support accounts.

## Set up and manage your Postman organization or team

You can [invite and manage collaborators](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/team-members/invite-members/) in your Postman team, and update their assigned roles. You can also [adjust your team's Postman plan](/docs/billing/billing/#team-and-plan-changes) as needed.

[Configure your organization or team settings](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/team-settings/) to further customize the experience for both your Postman team and your API's consumers. This includes managing your organization's public profile and making your teams discoverable.

You can also [set up system service accounts](/docs/administration/service-accounts/) to give your team a dedicated, non-human identity for automation, integrations, and system-to-system interactions.

To set up a new Postman team, you can follow the steps in Postman's [onboarding checklist](/docs/administration/onboarding-checklist/).

If you're setting up an [Enterprise organization and teams](https://www.postman.com/pricing/), more features are available to you with [Postman Enterprise plans](/docs/administration/enterprise/about-postman-enterprise/). Enterprise features include advanced organization-level settings, identity management, reports, a Private API Network, API governance and security controls, and features that enhance collaboration and administration customization.

## Secure your Postman team

Depending on your [plan](https://www.postman.com/pricing/), you can secure your team's user accounts by setting up and using the following:

* [SSO](/docs/administration/sso/intro-sso/)
* [SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management)](/docs/administration/scim-provisioning/scim-provisioning-overview/)
* [Domain verification and capture](/docs/administration/domain-verification-and-capture/domain-capture-overview/)
* [Postman API key management](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/managing-api-keys/)
* [Secret Scanner](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/secret-scanner/overview/)
* [Audit logs](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/audit-logs/)
* [BYOK Encryption](/docs/administration/managing-your-team/byok-encryption/)

Also see [Postman security features](/docs/administration/security/overview/) for options specific to individual developers and teams.
