# Import from Hoppscotch

Hoppscotch is an open-source API development ecosystem used for testing APIs. Postman can import collection and environment files exported from Hoppscotch.

## Export files from Hoppscotch

1. In Hoppscotch, click the more icon <img alt="More icon" src="https://assets.postman.com/postman-docs/icons/hoppscotch-more-icon.jpg#icon" width="16px" /> next to a collection or environment and click <img alt="Download icon" src="https://assets.postman.com/postman-docs/aether-icons/action-download-stroke.svg#icon" width="16px" /> **Export**.
2. Select the location where you want to export the data and click **Save**.

## Import Hoppscotch files to Postman

1. In Postman, click **Import > Migrate to Postman > Other**.
2. Select the **Select data to migrate** option.
3. Click **files** or **folder**, then select the files or folder you want to import and click **Open**. If the **Start Migration** button isn't enabled, make sure you've selected a valid Hoppscotch file.
4. Click **Start Migration**. A message appears in the footer when migration is complete.

#### Tip

You can also drag files and folders into the import window.
