Format content and add media to your notebook

Format your notebook with text and block styles. Use text styles to bold, italicize, underline, and strike through text. Use block styles to format headings, lists, quotes, and code snippet blocks. You can also add videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Loom to your notebooks.

Format text

To format text, select it. Postman displays a text menu. Then, choose one of the options, such as Bold.

Format a block of text

To format a block of text, place your cursor at the start of the block and enter a forward slash (”/”). Postman displays a block menu. Then, choose one of the options, such as Quote or Code Snippet.

Format with Markdown and keyboard shortcuts

You can also format your notebook with Markdown and keyboard shortcuts. For example, to use Markdown to bold the word “Postman”, enter “**Postman**”. To use a keyboard shortcut to bold the words “Postman Notebooks”, select the text and press Command + B or Ctrl + B.

Add a video

To add a video, place your cursor where you want to place the video and paste its URL. Postman displays a Paste as menu. Then, choose one of the options, such as Embed video.
