I lost my environment variables after migrating from the Scratch Pad

No requests captured error while capturing Proxy

Built with

You are experiencing one of the following issues

I have moved from the Scratch Pad to the lightweight API client, and I can’t see my requests.

  • My requests were saved in a collection.
  • My requests were sent but not saved in a collection.
  • My requests were opened in tabs but not sent.

What to expect

  • The lightweight API client doesn’t have collections, but requests can be exported as part of a collection.

  • If the request was sent in the Scratch Pad, the requests were saved in the History, which migrates when you move to the lightweight API client.

  • Note: All tabs that were opened in the Scratch Pad will be closed.

  • If the request wasn’t sent in the Scratch Pad but only kept in open tabs, the requests won’t be in the History when moving to the lightweight API client.

Unblock yourself

My requests were saved in a collection

Export your data from Settings > Data in the Lightweight API client.

  • Note: To import them, sign in to a Postman account.

My requests were sent but not saved in a collection

Select History in the sidebar.

  • Note: If you had open tabs in the Scratch Pad, but the requests inside them weren’t sent, they won’t be saved in the History. These tabs don’t persist with the migration to the Scratch Pad.
