You are experiencing one of the following issues

  • You see the ‘Something went wrong’ error when launching Postman or after performing a specific action.
  • Postman has encountered an error.

What to expect

It is usually an intermittent issue that occurs when application services are unable to connect or load content due to network problems or locally corrupt files.

Unblock yourself

  • Force close the application from the Taskbar and Relaunch the application.
  • You can also try to “Clear cache and Reload” from Help.
  • Alternatively, you can use the Postman web app to access your account. If that works, it indicates that there might be a client-side issue with the Postman desktop app. You can then follow the steps to Remove Postman’s local data to see if that helps.

If you are still facing this issue, please submit a support request with the following information in the request:

  • When did you first notice the error - during the application launch or after performing a specific action?
  • Logs from the application
