Postman is a cloud-based product that syncs your work when you’re signed in to your account.

If your organization has restrictions around cloud usage, consider these alternatives:

  • Work locally with Native Git (requires sign-in).

  • Use the Lightweight API Client for offline work.

  • Run collections with Newman in a private cloud or internal data center.

If you’re using the Lightweight API Client, some collaboration tools such as Collections, Environments, Mocks, Monitors, and Documentation won’t be available.
