This feature is available on Postman Enterprise plans. For more information, see the pricing page.

Your Private API Network is a curated subset of your organization’s internal workspaces, organized by team and approved by your organization. There, you can search and browse your organization’s most important internal APIs.

Search and Agent Mode are optimized for your new Private API Network. And a new badge helps you identify trusted sources from your organization, no matter where you are in Postman.

To open your Private API Network, open the navigation menu. Then, click Company icon Private API Network.

Search your Private API Network

Search your Private API Network for your organization’s most important internal workspaces, collections, and internal APIs.

To search your Private API Network, do the following:

  1. Open your Private API Network.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Search icon Search Private API Network. Postman opens search.
  3. Enter your search terms. Postman returns results as you type.
  4. (Optional) To narrow or broaden your search, adjust the filters.

Postman returns search results that match your criteria. Choose the search result that best matches what you’re looking for.

Browse your Private API Network

Browse your organization’s Private API Network to discover the internal APIs that are most relevant to your work.

From the landing page, you can see your Private API Network’s recently added workspaces and its latest workspace updates. In the left sidebar, Postman lists your organization’s teams and their workspaces.

You can also navigate to a team space and its workspaces.

Navigate to a team space

A team space is similar to your Private API Network landing page. From a team space, you can see the team’s recently added workspaces and its latest workspace updates.

To navigate to a team space, open your Private API Network. Then, in the left sidebar, click the Team icon team’s name.

If you don’t see a team, it means they haven’t added any workspaces to your Private API Network.

Navigate to a workspace

Postman pulls a workspace’s introductory documentation and its Postman elements into your Private API Network. Review this information and navigate to the elements most relevant to your work.

To navigate to a workspace, open your Private API Network. Then, in the left sidebar, click the Team icon team’s name > Workspaces icon workspace name.

If you don’t see a workspace, it means the team hasn’t added it to your Private API Network (or the request is pending).

From the workspace’s landing page, you can learn more about the workspace and navigate to its collections and other Postman elements. You can also watch the workspace, see its contributors, and more. When you’re ready to use the workspace’s Postman elements or collaborate, click Open Workspace.

Use Agent Mode

Use Agent Mode to explore your Private API Network and discover Postman elements you can use to get your work done. When you find something, ask Agent Mode follow-up questions to learn more about the internal workspaces, collections, or internal APIs you find.

To use Agent Mode, do the following:

  1. Open your Private API Network.
  2. If Agent Mode is closed, in the bottom right, click Right Sidebar Hidden icon Show right sidebar.
  3. In the right sidebar, enter your prompt.
  4. Click Enter icon Enter.

Agent Mode searches your Private API Network and returns a response.

You can start a new conversation by clicking Add icon Add, or see your past conversations by clicking History icon History.

To learn more, see Agent Mode.
