Connect your Jira account to Postman

Built with

Connect your Jira Cloud account to Postman and streamline your Jira and Postman workflows. Once you connect your account, you can create new Jira issues or link to existing ones directly from a collection, collection run, response, or monitor. For example, if a 200 OK response is too slow, you can create a Jira issue from the response in Postman. Similarly, you can create issues for common errors, such as 404 Not Found and 500 Internal Server Error.

You can see the status of all open issues linked to your collection, collection run, request, or monitor to track your project’s status and assess your API’s performance.

You can also use Agent Mode to create Jira issues from your HTTP collections, collection runs, responses, or monitor results in Postman. To learn more, see Use Agent Mode to create Jira issues.

Connect your Jira account

Before you get started, connect your Jira Cloud account to Postman. You can switch Jira accounts at any time.

Create a Jira issue

Once you connect your account, you can create Jira issues from any HTTP collection, collection run, response, or monitor. You can also link to an existing issue.

To learn more, see Create a Jira issue from Postman.

View your Jira issues

You can view all open Jira issues linked to your collection, collection run, request, or monitor. You can also open these issues in Jira.

To learn more, see View your Jira issues from Postman.

For guidance on using Postman and Jira together to reduce tool switching, create issues with more context, and track issue status, see the best practices for integrating tools with Postman.
