Migrate your organization's Private API Network

With Postman v12, you can migrate to a more streamlined version of the Private API Network. There, you can explore a curated subset of your organization’s internal workspaces, organized by team.

To manage your Private API Network, you and your organization add workspaces. When you make changes to those workspaces, those changes are available to your organization.

If you’re not ready to migrate, you can continue using the earlier version with Postman v11. If you need help, contact Postman Support Center.

Migrate your Private API Network

When a network manager upgrades to Postman v12 and opens the Private API Network, Postman prompts them to run a one-time migration.

During migration, Postman adds workspaces that are connected to your published content. It also converts your folders and subfolders to tags, which you can use to further curate your Private API Network.

You’ll get an opportunity to review which internal workspaces Postman adds to your Private API Network.

You don’t need an organization to migrate. If your team isn’t part of an organization, the Private API Network displays all workspaces at the root level, and you can use tags to organize them.

To migrate your Private API Network, do the following:

1. Upgrade to the latest version of Postman.
2. (Optional) If you want to organize your Private API Network by team, create an organization.
3. Open your Private API Network.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
