Starting in May 2025, you can create team-to-team Partner Workspaces. This update enhances security and authentication for Postman API partnerships and enables access to a Partner Workspace from one's own team. In addition to supporting SSO login for partners, Partner Managers can verify which partners use SSO from a new Partnerships page in Team Settings.
This guide explains the steps to update your Partner Workspaces and re-invite the Partners. It also provides answers to questions you might have about migration and team-to-team partnerships.
Migration is optional. Your pre-existing Partner Workspaces will still work, and you can continue to use those workspaces and invite partners.
To reconfigure the workspace, do the following:
Select the workspace where your external users are set up as Partners.
Navigate to Workspace settings.
Select Download all partner emails to get Partner email addresses along with each Partner's workspace role (Viewer or Editor). Upon download, you can find this TXT file in your Downloads folder.
Select Workspace type > Change and change the workspace type to Internal.
Check the Remove all partners box.
Click Save Changes. This converts the workspace to Internal and removes all external Partners.
Go back to Workspace type and change it back to Partner.
Click the Invite People button, select Partners, and then click Continue.
Re-invite Partners using email addresses you downloaded previously, assign the appropriate roles, and then click Invite Partners.
Ask the Partners to select Accept Invite from their email.
Once accepted, Partners will appear in the Partners section in Workspace settings, or you can verify the Partner in the new feature by navigating to Team > Team Settings > Partnerships.
The following are answers to some questions you might have about migration and team-to-team partnerships.
Users who want to create new team-to-team Partner Workspaces should do one of the following:
Partners also need to access the Partner Workspace using a web browser or the latest version of the Postman app.
If you currently have Partner Workspaces and would like to migrate them, see Migrate your Partner Workspaces.
All new Partner Workspaces created will be team-to-team Partner Workspaces. Your existing Partner Workspaces won't be affected, and you can continue to use them and invite new Partners. Postman can help you migrate existing Partner Workspaces, but this isn't required. If you partner with developers from another Postman team, those partnerships will become more secure and seamless if you migrate your workspaces.
There are no changes to pricing. Partner Viewers are free, and Partner Editor add-ons are charged based on the Professional and Enterprise plans.
You can convert an existing Partner Workspace to a team-to-team Partner Workspace. You'll have to remove and re-invite Partners. To complete the conversion, do the following:

To check if your Partner Workspace is legacy or team-to-team, do the following:
You can use a team-to-team Partner Workspace as a single or multi-partner workspace. Workspace Admins can go to the Workspace Settings page and turn on multi-partner mode, which prevents partners from seeing each other in the workspace. However, the Publisher team members can see all partners in the workspace.
In the new Partnerships page under Team > Team Settings, Postman gives you visibility into SSO-enabled Partner access. SSO-enabled Partners log in to their own company’s Postman team using SSO authentication, ensuring secure collaboration. If at any point, this Partner leaves their organization and their Postman team, they lose access to the Partner Workspace. Therefore, access to the Partner Workspace is tied to their Postman team, not the individual.
If you created a new team-to-team Partner Workspace and tried to invite a partner who you'd added to a pre-existing Partner Workspace, you'll get this message: "Remove this person from the team and re-invite."
To resolve this issue, do the following:
Remove the partner from the team. Go to Manage Team > Members, filter by the Partner role, and delete the partner from the list.
Invite the partner to your team-to-team Partner Workspace. For instructions, see Invite collaborators to a Partner Workspace.
Migrate the pre-existing Partner Workspace. For instructions, see Migrate your Partner Workspaces to team-to-team Partner Workspaces.
Re-invite the partner to the pre-existing Partner Workspace after the migration.
If you invited a partner to a team-to-team Partner Workspace and try to invite them to a pre-existing Partner Workspace, you'll get this message: “User is already present in a partnership with the team and cannot be invited to join as a team member.”
To resolve this issue, you can create a new Partner Workspace and invite the partner.
Alternatively, you can do the following:
Migrate the pre-existing Partner Workspace. For instructions, see Migrate your Partner Workspaces to team-to-team Partner Workspaces.
Re-invite the partner to the pre-existing Partner Workspace after the migration.
