About Postman Insights

Postman Insights aims to be the fastest, easiest way to find and fix a failing API. The Postman Insights Agent watches your API traffic so that Postman Insights can deliver automatic, per-endpoint metrics and errors across all of your API endpoints in near real-time, without needing custom dashboards.

The Postman Insights alpha runs on Kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) deployments.

Teams with simple tech stacks are able to get productive with Postman Insights quickly. To show you an up-to-date picture of errors, latency, and volume, the Postman Insights AI will start delivering your automatically inferred endpoints within minutes of installing the Postman Insights Agent in staging or production. Benefits

Postman Insights helps you find and fix failing APIs across your systems, even if you were not aware you should care about them. There are three main benefits of using Postman Insights:

• The Insights Agent captures metrics and errors for endpoints across your entire system, even on endpoints you may not have documented or monitored.
• Endpoint-level information gives you visibility into issues close to where they affect customers.
• The Postman Insights Agent drops in at the infrastructure layer, working across your tech stack without requiring an SDK for every language or a proxy.

Postman Insights works only for first-party REST APIs.

About the Postman Insights Alpha

Postman Insights is an alpha feature. If you have trial access, you'll have an Insights tab available in the sidebar.
