Publish your APIs to the Postman API Network and make them publicly available to any API consumer around the world. Maintain them and give your API consumers access to your API’s latest changes.

Evaluate the developer experience

Once you’ve prepared your public workspace and collections and curated them, evaluate the developer experience before you make your workspace public. Walk yourself through the steps you outlined in your overview collection. Invite others on your team to do the same.

If you haven’t already, create a team workspace and fork your public collections. Even if you decide to use one workspace to manage your public APIs, the exercise will walk you through your API consumer’s steps.

Gather feedback and iterate to curate your public collections. Continue to iterate until you’re satisfied you can get your new users to their first 200 OK response in the fewest steps possible.

Make your workspace public

When you’re satisfied with the developer experience, change your workspace’s type to public. Depending on your plan and role, a Community Manager may need to approve your request. Once your workspace is public, it and its collections are available on the Postman API Network.

Add a Run in Postman button to your developer content

Once you’ve published your public APIs, add a Run in Postman button to your developer website, API reference, documentation, and each of your public collection’s overview pages. Successful API publishers use the Run in Postman button to grow adoption and curate the developer experience for their API consumers.

Publish MCP servers

Create an MCP server using public APIs from the Postman API Network, then publish it so AI agents and MCP hosts can discover and use it. You can test and evaluate your MCP server in Postman before promoting it to the network.
