Manage your organization's Private API Network

Curate your organization’s Private API Network by adding or requesting to add workspaces to it. Choose the workspaces with your organization’s most important internal APIs.

A workspace editor can request to add a workspace they can edit. A team manager can add a workspace they manage. They can also approve requests for the workspaces they manage. A network manager can add any workspace to their organization’s Private API Network. They can also approve any request.

Request to add a workspace

You must be a workspace editor to request to add a workspace.

To request to add a workspace, do the following:

1. Open your workspace.
2. In the left sidebar, click Options > Workspace Overview.
3. Open the Settings tab.
4. Under Add to the Private API Network, click Request to Add.
5. Enter a message and click Request to Add.

Postman sends your request to the team and network managers.

Manage your team’s workspaces

You must be a team manager to add one of your team’s workspaces or approve a request.

Add your team’s workspace

To add a workspace, do the following:

1. Open your workspace.
2. In the left sidebar, click Options > Workspace Overview.
3. Open the Settings tab.
4. Under Add to the Private API Network, click Add to Network.

Postman adds the workspace to your Private API Network.

Approve a request to add your team’s workspace

To approve a request to add your team’s workspace, do the following:

1. Open your Private API Network.

2. In the left sidebar, click Pending Requests.

3. Review the request and decide whether to approve or deny it:

   • To approve, click Approve. To confirm, click Approve Request.
   • To deny, click Deny. To confirm, click Deny Request.

If you approve the request, Postman adds the workspace to your Private API Network.

Manage your organization’s workspaces

You must be a network manager to add one of your organization’s workspaces or approve a request.

Add your organization’s workspace

To add your organization’s workspace, do the following:

1. Open your Private API Network.
2. In the left sidebar, click Add to Network.
3. Select the workspace you want to add.
4. Click Review.
5. Review your selection. When you’re ready to add the workspace to your Private API Network, click Add to Network.

Postman adds the workspace to your Private API Network.

Approve a request to add your organization’s workspace

To approve a request to add your organization’s workspace, do the following:

1. Open your Private API Network.

2. In the left sidebar, click Pending Requests.

3. Review the request and decide whether to approve or deny it:

   • To approve, click Approve. To confirm, click Approve Request.
   • To deny, click Deny. To confirm, click Deny Request.

If you approve the request, Postman adds the workspace to your Private API Network.
