View reports about API activity across the API lifecycle
Reports are available with all Postman Enterprise plans. The Public workspace metrics report is available with all Postman plans. For more information, see Postman pricing.
Gain visibility into API activity across every stage of the API lifecycle. API lifecycle reports provide insights into development, testing, production, distribution, and API management, helping teams track adoption, analyze usage trends, and better understand how APIs are built, tested, deployed, and managed across the organization.
To access the API lifecycle reports, from your homepage, click Reports in the sidebar. Click API Lifecycle under Usage reports to view usage metrics.
API development
The API development section provides insights into the API design and development process, including the number of workspaces in development during the selected time period. A workspace is counted if it has create, delete, or update activity on collections, specifications, mocks, or flows, or if SDKs were generated.
This section also includes the most popular collections and specifications in development by the number of updates.
API testing
The API testing section lists total functional test runs (manual, CLI, CI/CD, and scheduled) and performance test runs (manual and automated) during the selected period.
It also includes a list of the most tested collections in each category of tests.
API production
The API production section provides information about total monitor runs and production flow runs during the selected period. It also includes a list of the most popular monitors and production flows by the number of runs.
API distribution
The API distribution section provides insights into the distribution of APIs across the organization, including the number of workspaces shared through the Private API Network, the number of Partner Workspaces, and the number of public workspaces during the selected period.
This section also includes the top workspaces in each category. You can click links to public and Partner Workspace reports to see more detailed statistics. You can also find them in Workspaces reports.
API management
The API management section lists the number of workspaces published to the API Catalog during the selected period. It also includes a list of popular workspaces in the API Catalog by the number of updates.
