Customize your Postman profile

After you create a Postman account, you can customize your Postman profile. Your Postman profile gives you a way to share important information about yourself with other Postman users.

Your profile includes:

  • A profile picture
  • A short bio
  • Social media links like your GitHub profile
  • Links to any teams you are a part of
  • An About Me section
  • A Highlights section with pinned elements
  • An Activity feed with a chronological list of your public activities
  • All the public APIs, collections, and workspaces you've created, across all your teams

Making your profile public

By default, your Postman profile is visible to your Postman team. You can also choose to make your profile public to the Postman community. Having a public profile enables you to share important information about yourself and your work with other Postman users. Turn your public profile on or off at any time in your profile settings.

To make your profile public, do the following:

  1. Select your avatar in the Postman header > Settings.
  2. Select Profile from the list of options.
  3. Select Make profile public.
  4. Select Update Profile to save your changes.

Updating your personal information

Update your profile picture, display name, Postman username, display bio, and your social media links at any time in your profile settings.

To update your personal information, do the following:

  1. Select your avatar in the Postman header > Settings.
  2. Select Profile from the list of options.
  3. Edit the fields you want to update.
  4. Select Update Profile to save changes.

Adding an About Me section

Your About Me section contains information about your work, interests, and contributions. Update your About Me section at any time in your profile settings.

To add an About Me section, do the following:

  1. Select your avatar in the Postman header > Settings.
  2. Select View your profile.
  3. Select View public profile.
  4. Under About Me, select Edit. The editor supports Markdown, or you can use the built-in text formatting tools.
  5. Select Save.

Updating your About Me section

If you have already created an About Me section, you can edit it by selecting the edit icon Edit icon. Make your changes, then select Save.

Pinning elements to your Highlights

Every element in your Highlights section must be publicly available.

Your Highlights section lets you show off your work to other Postman users. If you don't choose any elements to pin to this section, Postman displays the most popular elements that you've worked on. Update your Highlights section at any time in your profile settings.

To update your Highlights section, do the following:

  1. Select your avatar in the Postman header > Settings.
  2. Select View your profile.
  3. Select View public profile.
  4. Under Highlights, select the edit icon Edit icon.
  5. To remove elements from the section, select the close icon Close icon next to the element name under Selected works in highlight.
  6. To add an element to the section, select the element type, then select the element from the list.
  7. After you have added or removed elements, select Save.
